was born in Yorkshire in 1940 where he developed his love of painting,
working mainly in the Yorkshire dales. A move to Guernsey in the late

The next courses begin in October 2006. All levels of skill are catered for, from complete beginners to those with more experience. The courses are geared towards painting in watercolours and oils although tuition is given in other media. Please check availability for the next sessions. The current cost of each 10 week session is £110 per person Throughout the year Stuart provides painting workshops based at his studio and on location as weather permits. These usually take place at weekends but depending on demand these may take place on other days. The number of participants on each workshop is limited to a maximum of 6 in order to provide sufficient individual attention and tuition. All abilities are catered for. The workshops deal mainly with watercolour and oil painting. On a typical 2 day workshops the participants meet at the studio on the evening before for a glass of wine, to plan the content of the workshop for the next two days and to assess student requirements. On both workshop days we all meet up at the studio at 10 am and, with a break for lunch (not provided) continue until approximately 4pm. If the weather is fine all or part of the day may be spent painting on location.
